Help a physically disabled black trans guy move

Sadly I have to do this again as I’m in a really tough situation, I was planning on doing this 2 weeks ago but things have changed drastically and time is running out.

My landlord raised my rent by $1500 dollars a month before I was supposed to renew my lease, and I’ve been searching for a new apartment ever since, I came really close to a nice place, but sadly as of yesterday it fell through and another applicant was chosen, for the time being I’m trying to find a sublet in the city as I don’t have the means to take over or start a new lease on my own. I start a new part time job in the middle of next month but will need to find a second to make ends meet.

Originally I was supposed to get paid for the freelance gig I’m currently doing on the 7th but I had to get the project end date until the 28th so I’m completely broke before then. and since I’ve received the first dose of the monkeypox vaccine already i have to wait a month after my second shot at the end of the month to be able to donate plasma again.

I need to raise enough for a deposit and firsts month on the room I find and the cost of moving, my plantar fasciitis has been getting worse and I know for sure that I’ll need to hire people to help me lift my mattress/furniture when I actually start to move. I have no leads on a new place as of yet but I do know my current budget for a room is $600-$750 a month so I’m asking for two months at the higher end in case I can’t find anything cheaper.

Thank you so much to the people who’ve donated thus far and especially the larger donations I’ve just received, I’m eternally grateful from the bottom of my heart and even though I haven’t found a place yet I feel reassured I’ll be okay come the first and that things will work out eventually and I couldn’t have gotten this far without the continued support and generosity ❤️❤️❤️

Major update!

So as of yesterday I’ve paid the deposit on the place I’m moving into for the month of September! I had a ton of interviews and reached searched and searched for a place and so many things fell through but I was able to secure a one month sublet! I also had a job interview that went really well that if I get this job I’ll be able to save up and move again once October starts! My move in date is Sept 1st and before then I need to cover moving expenses ( hiring movers, cleaning out storage, renting a truck etc. ) and i had to help out my roommate who’s helping me move with some of their own expenses hence the number going down and the goal moving up.

Thank you all again for the support and please keep it going!

So many TV shows/movies depict the Epi Pen as a total solution for anaphylaxis…it’s not. The Epi Pen gives you 30 minutes to get to a hospital where they can save your life. TV makes it look like you just have to use the Epi Pen and then the crisis is over. Do people without allergies or a loved one with allergies know that an Epi Pen only buys you time? The more I see this on TV the more I worry…

**Maybe you should reblog this because I’m actually worried that most people don’t know.

Omg so much this! I have to use my epipens about three times a year and my doctor recommends I shoot both of them in my thigh and then call an ambulance! They are a STABILISER not a cure!!

if you have a couple of bucks to spare, consider throwing them to The Indian Residential School Survivor Society (IRSSS). they provide counseling and other forms of support to first nations people who are residential school survivors. this is a list of other charities that support first nations people, this list is a mix of charities and ways to learn more about first nation activism and history, and this is a link to a free online college course called Indigenous Canada
